About Our Founder
David Hodges
David Hodges, Jr. is Founder and portfolio manager at Equanicca, LLC. He has sole responsibility for managing the firm’s investments in both the public and private equity divisions. Equanicca utilizes a value discipline in making equity investments and otherwise providing capital in three primary industry verticals: Finance, Industrials and Consumer.
Prior to launching Equanicca, David was a senior partner at Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney and Strauss. Beginning his career there in 2001, he initially served as an equity analyst covering a variety of sectors. Soon thereafter he led teams that designed, launched and managed both International and Global Equities strategies, ultimately overseeing over $10 Billion in assets.
Having received an MBA with a concentration in Security Analysis from the University of Florida in 2001, he also obtained a JD degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1994.
